Kid-Munity
We can always use a few extra hands with the elementary aged kids. There are all
kinds of opportunities that can fit in your schedule. Whatever time you have to
give, whether large or small, we can find something for you to do that will
help to change kids' lives! Contact Robin Jones for more information.
J.A.M.
If you like to smile and sing with the youngest of our children, J.A.M. (Jesus
and Me) is the place for you! J.A.M. is our early childhood department where we
show God's love and teach the simplest truths of our faith to the little ones.
If you have never experienced the joy of seeing little faces smiling and
hearing little voices singing praise to God, you've got to get involved with
J.A.M.! Contact Robin Jones for
more information.
Mobile Team
The mobile team is responsible for getting our trailers to Chicago Christian,
unloading all of the equipment, and setting it up so that we can "do church"
every Sunday morning. Without the mobile team, there would be no church
service, no Kid-Munity, no J.A.M. (our nursery), there would be nothing. You
don't need to be able to lift a thousand pounds or push a cart full of tables
to be on the mobile team, there is something for everyone to do. You can choose
to set up before first service or tear down after second service, whichever is
more convenient for you. Contact Robin Jones for more information.
Greeters
All you need is a smile and a hand! If you can say, Good Morning! and We're
glad you're here!, you can be a greeter! These faithful people are the
first face that people see when they come to HOPE on Sunday morning. They are
the ones who make the first impression and help lay the foundation for the
message the people will hear that morning. If you want to prepare people's
hearts for worship and hearing God's Word, become a greeter! Contact Robin Jones for more information. (ext 224)
TNT
If you would like to build relationships that could change a teenager's life,
then TNT is for you. Whether slopping a junior higher with a water balloon, or
praying quietly with a senior higher, you can have an impact on these kids. We
are looking for people who will be willing to come out and build relationships
- become friends - with our teens. You don't have to have all the answers, you
just need to be able to listen! Make a commitment to help with the teens!

information. (ext 225)
Office Assistants
You may not be able to help on Sunday morning, but you have time to give during
the week. There are many times that we need an extra pair of hands around the
office to help with all kinds of things - mailings, answering the phone, you
name it! If you have time available during the week and you would like to help
with the nuts and bolts of ministry - the behind-the-scenes stuff that really
makes HOPE tick, then get involved at the office! Contact Robin Jones for more information.
Technical Team
The goal of the technical teams is to amplify the message and remove
distractions. The technical teams play a pivotal role in people actually
hearing the message that God loves them and wants a relationship with them.
Without the sound ministry, no one would hear the message. Without the people
running the lights, the camera, and the computer, people would not be able to
see the message. If you can't preach but you want to help tell others about the
saving power of Jesus Christ, the technical team is the place for you. If you
enjoy listening to music and are not scared by things with lots of knobs and
dials, you might make a good sound person for the weekend event. We also need
people to record the services on video tape and run the lights. We need people
to run the computer that projects the words to the songs and the outline of the
message onto the screen. Contact Robin Jones for more information. (ext 280)
Music Teams
The goal of the music teams is to create an environment where people can become
worshippers. Obviously, this is primarily referring to the weekend services. We
use music and scripture readings to create an environment where it is easy for
people to worship. Auditions take place on an as needed basis. Contact Hope Office
for more information.
The International Student Friendship program (ISF)
The International Student Friendship program connects international
students living in the Chicago area with families that can provide friendship
and fun for both the students and their Friendship Partners.
